Job summary

Pinecone, based in New York, is seeking an engineer to own end-to-end experiences—from backend architecture to API design, SDKs, and web surfaces. You will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to build AI-powered developer platforms for agent workflows.

You will ship across API, SDK, CLI, and web, setting standards for AI-assisted development and building observable, auditable systems in a high-velocity environment. Strong React and cloud experience required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience shipping with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as part of workflow.
• Proven ability to design and deliver versioned APIs, SDKs, or client libraries.
• Proficiency building web interfaces with React or similar.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end experiences — from backend architecture to API design to SDK and web surfaces.
• Ship across API, SDK, CLI, and web surfaces; own the full surface from HTTP to UI.
• Build systems that multiply team output with AI-powered workflows and quality gates.
• Set the standard for AI-assisted development on the team and establish patterns.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to identify user needs and build at the right abstraction level.
• Build observable, auditable systems with monitoring, alerting, and verification mechanisms.
