Job summary

Hex is seeking senior and staff-level fullstack engineers to join our Agent Platform team, building AI-powered features into our web notebook platform. You’ll work with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Express/Apollo GraphQL on the backend, collaborating with Research and product teams to ship scalable, high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with React and TypeScript; strong system design.
• Experience leading major product initiatives.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead initiatives.
• Hybrid work: SF or NYC HQ with 1-2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of AI-powered features into Hex.
• Collaborate with Research on context and prompting, and with product teams on platform integration.
• Build scalable agent infrastructure and experimentation tooling to enable rapid AI feature delivery.
