Job summary

Webgility seeks a Senior Staff Engineer AI & Agentic Engineering to lead the development of agentic capabilities within its commerce platform. You will own ambiguous problems end-to-end, define architecture, and push AI-driven features from concept to production across a high-stakes integration landscape.

You will collaborate with engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and set technical standards, balancing innovation with reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend/systems engineering with production ownership
• Hands-on fluency with AI/LLM tooling and agents
• Comfort operating without a fully defined spec and shaping fuzzy problems

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI/agent-driven features across the platform.
• Own ambiguous, 0-to-1 problems end-to-end with minimal specs.
• Define architecture and defend tradeoffs; collaborate with architecture function.
• Shape the roadmap with product leadership and align with business goals.
• Set technical direction for others in the agentic space; communicate decisions clearly
