Job summary

Citi in Jersey City is seeking a senior, hands-on technology leader to build an agentic AI platform that supports credit risk model development. You will partner with quantitative analysts and stakeholders to shape use cases and then lead a team of engineers to design, build, and deploy the platform.

This role emphasizes architecture, data governance, secure integrations, CI/CD, and mentoring. You will drive strategic vision, guide agile delivery, and ensure scalable, production-ready systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping complex, scalable software systems.
• Demonstrable experience in AI agentic solutions and generative AI with LLMs and RAG.
• Proven software team leadership, architectural guidance, and project oversight.
• Expertise in Python and its ecosystem for backend development and data processing; LangChain.
• Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs with prompt engineering and agentic patterns.
• Strong architectural skills in microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with quantitative analysts and stakeholders to translate pain points into a technical vision and product roadmap.
• Identify, scope, and prioritize use cases for the agentic workflow platform.
• Lead architectural design of a scalable, secure AI platform with orchestration, retrieval (RAG), and tool integration.
• Hands-on development to build foundational components and proofs-of-concept.
• Mentor a team of software engineers and manage timelines and milestones.
