Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Vanguard, seeks a senior Application Engineering Technical Lead to drive the orchestration platform and AI governance across Workplace Technology. You will set technical direction, lead complex architecture efforts, and ensure compliant, scalable AI experiences.

This role shapes patterns for agent onboarding, history and retention pipelines, and model access across providers, while mentoring engineers and aligning standards with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of related work experience with at least five years of development experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• Hands-on with agent orchestration or conversational AI platforms and cloud-native service architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert-level technical leadership for the orchestration platform, knowledge management, and model governance and observability practices; leads complex development and architecture activities; ensures viable, secure, and testable deliverables.
• Communicates with stakeholders on project issues, risks, and implications; evaluates impact of change requests on the orchestration platform.
• Mentors engineers, identifies training needs, and drives adoption of new technical standards across the team.
• Reviews and approves architecture documentation; defines technical standards and processes for onboarding, ingestion, and compliance.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement across platforms.
• Participates in design, code, and test inspections; presents status at milestone reviews as a technical consultant.
• Ensures compliance with IT and security policies and governance requirements.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
