Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a senior Computer or Software Engineer for the NVEX Solutions Engineering team in Austin, TX. You will establish expertise in high-performance networking for AI clusters, debugging complex customer issues and delivering robust fixes.

You will work across NVIDIA teams, support customers, and become an authority on InfiniBand, NVLink, and Spectrum-X, while leveraging C, Python, and Linux expertise in production environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of C programming in Linux and embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Python.
• 8+ years of software development for networking hardware, NOS, Linux drivers, NICs, DPUs, or SDN.
• At least 3 years of direct end-customer support for network equipment or infrastructures.
• Strong system software/firmware/kernel expertise.
• Professional-level communication skills and customer-facing focus.
• Passion for learning innovative tech and ground-breaking products.

Responsibilities

• Assist various network and AI cluster support teams in reproducing, resolving, and root-causing sophisticated customer issues.
• Work with R&D teams to develop bug fixes, workarounds, and solutions for critical customers using NVIDIA’s network technologies.
• Become an authority in NVIDIA network technologies used in AI clusters such as Infiniband, NVLink, and Spectrum-X.
• Analyze network performance metrics and make tuning recommendations for high-performance, lossless networks.
• Develop support and analysis tools to help analyze and root cause field issues.
• Daily use of cutting-edge AI tools for software development, log and trace analysis, and source code debugging.
• Occasional work on weekends or holidays to support customers.
