Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Sr. Manager Software Development, Device OS, to build and lead an AI-native engineering organization across mobile, web, and connected devices. You will prototype capabilities, guide decisions, and stay hands-on with code, architecture, and customer experience.

You will drive architectural decisions, ensure rigorous testing and security, and align engineering practices with customer outcomes while growing leaders and delivering high-impact experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs in an Agile environment.
• Experience designing or architecting (patterns, reliability, scaling) of systems.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead an organization of software development managers and engineers.
• Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and resource plan across multiple teams.
• Guide architecture for agents that use models, tools, and memory to complete tasks over time.
• Deliver coherent customer journeys across native iOS and Android apps, web experiences, and connected devices.
• Advance AI-native development with agent-executable specifications and automated validation.
• Define task-success measures, scenarios, adversarial cases, and release criteria for agent behavior.
