Job summary

ezCater, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its AI-Native Platform. This remote role focuses on backend services, APIs, workflow orchestration, and reliable distributed systems across admin, integrations, and transactions.

You will leverage AI across the software lifecycle and contribute patterns that improve teams' AI adoption while working on Go or Java tech with Postgres databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong understanding of AI-assisted software delivery and where AI adds value.
• Practical knowledge of AI-native workflows and testing practices.
• Experience with Go or a comparable backend language such as Java.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and distributed system boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Build shared services, APIs, and workflows for admin, integrations, and core platform capabilities.
• Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business flows and critical use cases.
• Apply AI across the software lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and quality improvement.
• Contribute reusable engineering patterns and guidance for AI adoption within teams.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to turn ambiguous problems into well-scoped deliveries.
• Own quality through testing, observability, safe rollouts, and production issue investigation.
