You will work across Java, Python, Node.js, and JavaScript in a fully remote US setting, leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring maintainable, secure code.

The role emphasizes TDD, documentation, and strong system design, with AWS-based deployments and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Experience with Java, Python, Node.JS, and JavaScript.
• Experience building and shipping products using AI-assisted engineering disciplines or vibe-to-spec workflows.
• Pragmatic Engineering: balance stability and performance while using AI to accelerate development.
• AI-Native Tooling Mastery: Amazon Kiro, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot experience.
• Full-Stack Architecture: API design, system design, SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Analytical thinking to understand the why behind generated code and debug complex logic.
• Testing & Documentation: strong TDD and precise technical docs for AI tools.
• AWS Proficiency: navigating AWS services and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid Development: balance rapid AI iteration with disciplined engineering throughout the feature lifecycle.
• Tooling Integration: drive development with Amazon Kiro in AWS and related tools.
• System Architecture: maintain modular, readable structures for AI agents and humans to work together.
• Prompt & Spec Engineering: craft high-quality prompts and formal specs to reduce hallucinations.
• Code Quality Control: audit AI-assisted contributions for standards and security.
• Testing & Documentation: apply TDD and write clear docs to guide AI tools.
• Perform other duties as needed or requested by Consensus.
