Job summary

Lansweeper, the AI Cyber Asset Intelligence platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Austin for an AI-native backend role. You will contribute to an AI-augmented development environment, building scalable systems and guiding AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to design APIs, data models, and service boundaries, while mentoring peers and shaping technical direction in a fast-scaling SaaS company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, and code review.
• Proven experience in C, C++, Golang or Rust.
• Experience building backend systems or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, APIs, and SOA.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development environments.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of networks and underlying hardware infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build maintainable, scalable, observable, and well-tested software systems.
• Operate in an AI-augmented development workflow, decomposing problems and validating AI-generated outputs.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, long-term system evolution, and technical direction.
• Apply strong system thinking across data models, APIs, distributed systems, and service boundaries.
• Produce clear technical documentation, structured prompts, and design proposals.
• Mentor peers and collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.
