Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to build an analytics foundation powering AI-native measurement, dashboards, and automation across Devices and Homepage surfaces in Seattle. You will drive decision-making with cross-team collaboration and advanced analytics.

The role emphasizes deep-dives, scalable self-service insights, and experiments to measure causal impact while partnering with product managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years in Data/BI related roles.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related technical field.
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large data sets.
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis.
• Experience scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools.
• Experience communicating to senior leadership.
• Track record of developing and monitoring KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Own the intelligence layer connecting signals across full funnel for real-time decision-making.
• Develop data visualizations and reporting models for self-service insights.
• Build ETL pipelines, statistical models, and ML solutions on large datasets.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders on analytics roadmap.
• Design end-to-end reporting, metrics, dashboards, and automated processes.
• Define and evolve KPI standards for consistent measurement.
