Job summary

7-Eleven in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior Manager, AI to lead the Enterprise AI team. You will guide research, prototyping, and deployment of AI solutions for retail challenges, overseeing ML projects from concept to production.

The role emphasizes mentorship, architectural planning, and collaboration with product and design stakeholders. The position requires 8+ years in ML and 2+ years in management, with strong fundamentals in ML/DS and experience across NLP, CV, and MLOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, statistics, mathematics or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 8+ years in ML or data science with at least 2+ years in a technical managerial role.
• 2+ years managing ML engineers or data scientists with demonstrated delivery.
• Strong foundations in data science and ML; experience across NLP, tabular data, and/or computer vision.
• Experience with full ML lifecycle from data collection to deployment; measurable business impact.
• Strong knowledge of deploying AI/ML apps in production including feature engineering, deployment and MLOps.
• Understanding of LLM models and LLM engineering architecture.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of machine learning projects from conception to production deployment.
• Establish best practices for model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring.

• Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for successful implementation.
