Smile Digital Health is seeking a Software Developer - AI/ML to lead AI strategy and develop AI/ML components atop the Smile platform. You will work on customer-specific requirements within an Agile team running two-week sprints.

The role requires deep expertise in AI engineering, software architecture, and end-to-end system design, with hands-on coding, testing, and documentation. Remote-friendly environment and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture, full-stack development, or AI engineering.
• Proven experience designing and documenting end-to-end software architectures for complex projects.
• At least two years of experience implementing advanced AI solutions, including semantic matching, RAG systems, and document parsing for structured content.
• Experience designing and deploying agentic systems using LangGraph, Crew AI, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
• Working knowledge of coding assisted platforms like Claude Code, Codex.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and model ensemble methods.
• Experience with Knowledge Graph databases like Neo4j.
• Experience with Apache Databricks, Spark, and Iceberg workflows.
• Experience Human-in-the-loop integrations in AI workflows.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and accompanying documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Be the AI/ML subject matter expert on the team and infuse AI strategy into solutions.
• Help document the AI strategy and align with product roadmap and objectives.
• Help shape scope, milestones, and solution design at project start.
• Implement AI/ML solutions with the development team; write code and prototype new tech.
• Write and maintain tests and relevant documentation.
• Participate in client meetings if required.
• Coach team to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Provide support by understanding functionality being developed.
• Conduct in-person code reviews and collaborative problem solving.
• Attend recurring Product/Technology meetings to shape architecture and strategy.
