Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior data science leader to drive large analytics initiatives in Malvern. You will steer diagnostics, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and mentor junior analysts while ensuring data quality and rigorous model validation.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate business needs into analytic strategies, deliver actionable insights, and contribute to cross-functional projects within Vanguard's hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in analytical roles with data wrangling and ML methods.
• Undergraduate degree in analytics/related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Technology skills include GenAI, AI/ML, LLM, SLM, Deep Learning and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute large-scale analytics projects with quality control and risk assessment.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts; develop capabilities.
• Diagnose data inconsistencies and fill data gaps, documenting assumptions.
• Engage with senior leadership to translate business needs into analytic approaches.
• Guide test design, model validation, and present insights to leaders.
• Deliver insight presentations and actionable recommendations.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
