Peraton is seeking a Senior AI/ML Research Scientist to advance AI/ML-driven analytics for high-fidelity modeling and simulations. You will prototype, evaluate, and operationalize research outcomes, collaborating to translate customer needs into feasible technical solutions while delivering clear technical documentation.

The role requires deep ML/optimization expertise, strong Python/C++软件 development, and willingness to travel to NJ. A TS/SCI clearance is a plus and citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• MS with 14+ years or PhD with 10+ years in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or closely related field
• Expertise in machine learning and optimization techniques
• Hands-on experience with ML tooling such as PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Strong software development skills in Python, C/C++
• US Citizenship is required; TS/SCI eligibility is desired
• Willingness to travel to Basking Ridge, NJ (approximately 25%)

Responsabilités

• Conduct applied research on AI/ML-driven analytics to expedite high-fidelity modeling and simulations
• Design and implement prototypes that operationalize research into usable capabilities
• Translate customer needs into technical approaches balancing novelty with feasibility and deployability
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, briefings and publications
• Maintain system hygiene: Linux development, version control, containers, reproducibility
• Learn and integrate new tools/technologies quickly to keep pace with evolving customer needs
