Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior AI/ML Research Scientist to drive ML-driven analytics for modeling, simulation and analysis. You will prototype AI/ML capabilities and evaluate performance, developing surrogate models to cut run times while collaborating with a small team.

The ideal candidate holds MS/PhD with extensive ML and optimization experience, strong Python/C/C++, Linux and container tooling (Git, Docker, Kubernetes).

Competenze

• MS or PhD with substantial experience in CS/ECE
• Proven expertise in machine learning and optimization
• Hands-on experience with ML tooling (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Knowledge of LLMs and agentic AI is a plus
• Experience with modeling, simulation and analysis
• Experience in surrogate models is a plus
• Strong software development skills in Python, C/C++
• Proficiency with Linux, Git, Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• US Citizenship required and TS/SCI eligibility
• Willingness to travel to Basking Ridge, NJ ~25%
