Job summary
Disney is seeking a Senior Manager, AI & Machine Learning Engineering to lead the D-Fi platform's AI/ML layer, data foundation, and automated finance workflows. You will shape architecture, guide a global engineering team, and partner with Finance to translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
You’ll stay hands-on, review code, and set governance for RBAC and production-grade AI solutions, while balancing build-vs-buy decisions and ensuring scalable, compliant implementations across
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software and/or ML engineering leadership experience.
- Experience shipping production LLM/AI applications.
- Production experience with LLM application architecture — RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and context/retrieval design at scale.
- Reading, writing, and reviewing Python code.
- Experience working across distributed, cross-timezone engineering teams.
- Ability to translate finance/business problems into technical scope and trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Lead a global engineering team for the AI framework and data foundation.
- Set architecture and technical strategy for AI/ML and data layers.
- Be hands-on with implementation, code review, and issue resolution.
