Job summary

Disney Entertainment & Sports LLC seeks a Lead Product Software Engineer to join the Data Foundation Platform, building cloud services used by data teams across Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology, with a focus on data related to streaming and web-based businesses.

You will design shared libraries, collaborate with PMs and engineers, and help advance the AI knowledge graph and AI layer for Disney products.

Qualifications

7+ years software engineering experience on large projects.
Strong algorithmic problem-solving
Proficient in Python with ML libraries
Proficient in AWS Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie
Proficient in Data Engineering tools: Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake
Strong scripting language experience

Responsibilities

Contribute to maintaining, updating, and expanding the AI intelligence layer (Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock).
Design, architect, and code shared libraries for consistent data pipeline functionality across the Data organization.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to advance Data & AI strategy.
Document internal/external standards for configurations, naming conventions, partitioning, and more.
Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of AI projects.
Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies to improve team processes.
