Job summary
Disney Entertainment & Sports LLC seeks a Lead Product Software Engineer to join the Data Foundation Platform, building cloud services used by data teams across Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology, with a focus on data related to streaming and web-based businesses.
You will design shared libraries, collaborate with PMs and engineers, and help advance the AI knowledge graph and AI layer for Disney products.
Qualifications
- 7+ years software engineering experience on large projects.
- Strong algorithmic problem-solving
- Proficient in Python with ML libraries
- Proficient in AWS Bedrock, Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie
- Proficient in Data Engineering tools: Airflow, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake
- Strong scripting language experience
Responsibilities
- Contribute to maintaining, updating, and expanding the AI intelligence layer (Snowflake Cortex, AWS Bedrock).
- Design, architect, and code shared libraries for consistent data pipeline functionality across the Data organization.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to advance Data & AI strategy.
- Document internal/external standards for configurations, naming conventions, partitioning, and more.
- Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of AI projects.
- Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies to improve team processes.
