Job summary

Lyra Health is seeking a Senior AI/ML Platform Engineer to build our AI/ML platforms and infrastructure for generative AI products. You will own backend systems, deploy scalable services, and ship production-grade code daily alongside therapists, data scientists, and engineers.

The role emphasizes Python, FastAPI, async frameworks, and modern deployment on Docker/Kubernetes, with a focus on RAG, vector databases, and LangChain/LlamaIndex integration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience delivering production ready AI/ML platforms.
• High quality Python code and production practices.
• Experience with FastAPI and modern async Python frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and data streaming.
• Experience building RAG based AI solutions and vector databases.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex and major foundation APIs.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team building ML and generative AI platforms used across Lyra.
• Create backend infrastructure to enable scalable, resilient solutions.
• Build services exposing ML/AI based products.
• Deploy and manage applications in production environments.
• Code daily and mentor teammates as needed.
