Confido, an AI infrastructure company, seeks a Senior Applied AI/ML Engineer in New York. You will own end-to-end AI problems—from research and prototyping to production and evaluation—across document understanding and forecasting. Relocation is supported for a NY-based role.

You will build LLM-powered systems that turn messy documents into clean data, craft agentic workflows, and drive robust, scalable forecasting. This role blends research with production impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied AI/ML with production systems.
• Depth across time-series/forecasting, LLMs, and large-scale messy-data engineering.
• Strong focus on evaluation, monitoring, and avoiding data leakage.

Responsibilities

• Build core AI that converts complex financial documents into clean, typed data.
• Design agentic workflows to retrieve and reason over fragmented enterprise systems with production guardrails.
• Develop and improve demand forecasting across thousands of series using classical and modern models.
• Wrangle real-world data: baselining, outlier detection, entity reconciliation, and multi-source ingestion.
• Define success metrics with evaluation datasets and monitoring for systems with no single correct answer.
