Job summary

Confido seeks a Senior Applied AI/ML Engineer to own the core AI behind the platform. You will work with a large, messy dataset across many sources to build robust, production-grade AI models. Your scope includes research, prototyping, deployment, and continuous evaluation to ensure reliability.

Based in New York City with relocation support, you’ll drive end-to-end AI solutions spanning document understanding, forecasting, and agentic workflows, shaping product outcomes and the company’s future.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied AI/ML with production-grade systems
• Experience building evaluation and monitoring for AI systems
• Strong product sense: translate AI capability into outcomes
• Masters degree in STEM required

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-based AI systems that turn complex financial documents into clean, typed data
• Design agentic workflows with evaluation harnesses and guardrails for production use
• Develop and validate demand forecasting across thousands of time-series with rolling-origin backtesting
• Wrangle real-world messy data: baselining, outlier detection, entity reconciliation
• Define and measure success with eval datasets, benchmarks, and monitoring
