Job summary

Confido, the AI infrastructure powering modern CPG, seeks an Applied AI Data Analyst in NYC. You will bridge unstructured financial and operational data to our R&D team, owning evaluation platforms for agentic workflows forecasting and improving customer-facing insights for mission-critical decisions.

Based in New York, NY, the role offers an in-person work setup with relocation support and clear paths to senior data science and AI/ML engineering tracks.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in CS/DS/Statistics/Math/Physics or related STEM field.
• 2–4 years of quantitative data analyst or AI evaluation experience.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on work with AI/ML models.
• Strong capabilities with SQL and enterprise data infrastructure (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Algorithm & LLM Evaluation: assess edge cases, predictions, hallucination rates, and extraction accuracy of AI systems.
• Root Cause Analysis: investigate complex datasets to explain successes or failures of extractions or time-series models.
• Golden Dataset Curation: define and maintain gold-standard evaluation datasets for backtesting AI agents and demand forecasting.
• Performance Monitoring & Evals: build dashboards, data transformations, and evaluation harnesses across release cycles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with applied AI engineers, product managers and business operations to translate problems into insights.
