Job summary

Cadre5, LLC. is recruiting an AI Developer to design, develop, deploy, and support AI/ML workflows for technology transfer operations in collaboration with ORNL. The role emphasizes secure, compliant AI integration and effective translation of needs into scalable tools.

You will partner with business, scientific, and technical stakeholders to improve data quality, decision-making, and commercialization outcomes while maintaining ethical AI practices and DOE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, AI, information systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of AI/ML experience with practical deployment.
• Experience building AI/ML solutions in cloud and secure environments.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, LangChain, and AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and support AI/ML tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with business and scientific stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Modernize workflows for invention disclosures, IP, and market analysis.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML trends and provide strategy recommendations.
• Integrate AI solutions with databases and reporting tools.
• Support data analysis, dashboards, and decision-support tooling.
• Provide training and support for staff adopting AI-enabled tools.
• Ensure responsible, secure, and compliant AI use per ORNL policies.
• Collaborate with DOE labs and external partners to advance AI capabilities.
