Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Principal Engineer – AIOps with 12+ years of AI/ML and software engineering experience to lead strategic AI/ML initiatives across the enterprise. You will bridge data science and security operations, designing intelligent systems for risk detection, network optimization, and automated threat response, while guiding cross-functional teams.

You will craft scalable ML pipelines, work with data ingestion and feature engineering, and translate results into business insights

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI/ML solution delivery.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience in machine learning model development, evaluation, and deployment.
• Experience building scalable AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, IAM, and network architectures.
• Experience with Power BI (or equivalent) for visualization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions focused on cybersecurity, network analytics, and enterprise risk detection.
• Build and operationalize machine learning models, including anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• Drive Generative AI and Agentic AI initiatives to enhance automation and threat intelligence.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and IAM teams to optimize risk mitigation.
• Architect end-to-end ML pipelines with scalability and enterprise integration.
• Work hands-on with data: ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model tuning.
• Translate complex technical outcomes into business insights using dashboards (Power BI) for leadership.
