Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Industrial Systems Analytics (ISA) group. You will design, build, and deploy cloud-based analytics apps, integrating Generative AI and LLMs to drive autonomous decision-making in industrial data contexts.

You will work with Product Managers and Designers to translate requirements into scalable software, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and secure, observable systems while leveraging modern tools and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).
• 3+ years of experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Spring Boot).
• 2+ years of experience with Python (highly preferred for AI/Data) and/or Java.
• Exposure to or hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) or open-source models into software applications.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy LLM-powered applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and multi-agent systems to automate complex data analysis, anomaly detection, and decision-support workflows.
• Champion the use of generative AI tools and agentic coding assistants to streamline the software development lifecycle, automate testing, and accelerate CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into technical requirements, user stories, and test suites within an Agile framework.
• Author comprehensive technical design documents, system architecture diagrams, and API specifications for scalable, secure solutions.
• Build robust CI/CD deployment pipelines, integrate automated security/quality scans, and implement IAM and automated credential rotation.
• Participate in problem management, RCA, and incident resolution to ensure high availability of analytical systems.
