Job summary

Steampunk seeks a seasoned AI Tech Lead to drive enterprise-grade predictive and generative AI solutions, pipelines, and visualizations. You will mentor developers, architect scalable AI systems, and promote best practices across the organization.

The role requires strong Python and cloud experience, hands-on coding when needed, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with AI/ML focus.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring.
• Strong Python and AI framework experience.
• Experience deploying AI at scale in cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers on predictive and generative AI solutions.
• Architect and oversee scalable AI/ML systems with best practices.
• Drive AI technology adoption across the organization.
• Design end-to-end ML pipelines from data to deployment and monitoring.
• Establish and enforce AI development best practices including CI/CD and testing.
• Oversee production deployment of AI models and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists to translate algorithms into production code.
• Maintain robust MLOps practices to streamline development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on AI/ML advancements and evaluate client applications.
• Ensure data privacy and ethical AI guidelines throughout development.
