Job summary

Aquent Talent is seeking a Senior AI Developer to lead AI-focused workflows across the System Development Life Cycle in a financial technology context.

You will drive AI-assisted development, craft agentic workflows, and build scalable Java/Spring cloud services optimized for high-volume transactions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentorship of engineers are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience developing large-scale software using Java, Spring, cloud, and high-availability web services.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation and production deployment.
• 6+ years experience with containers and microservices in the cloud.
• 6+ years experience in CI/CD for cloud deployments.
• 2+ years experience with major cloud platforms.
• 2+ years' experience with databases such as MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with generative AI tools and SDLC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-focused workflows across the System Development Life Cycle, including implementation, refactoring, unit testing, and documentation.
• Drive adoption of AI assistance for code generation, test creation, reviews, and automation scripts.
• Pioneer generative AI to reduce context switching and accelerate delivery across engineering workflows.
• Develop agentic workflows and spec-driven development translating design artifacts into specifications for AI implementation.
• Establish team-level practices for AI-assisted development, including prompt engineering.
• Develop Java/Spring-based cloud services and robust web services for high volume transactions.
• Deploy AI/ML solutions into production with secure, scalable integration.
• Design and manage containerized microservices in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and adjacent teams to drive modernization.
