Electric Mind is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our AI-native advisory and digital engineering team. You will design and implement backend services for enterprise-scale applications, using Java, Spring, and RESTful APIs, in collaboration with business stakeholders at a major financial services client.

This hands-on role emphasizes scalable architectures, code quality, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to explore AI-assisted development tools and modern delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java backend.
• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop REST APIs and microservices for enterprise-scale apps.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL) and data persistence.
• Proficient in Agile delivery and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend applications using Java and Spring.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for high-volume systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle from design to production support.
• Apply OO design principles and patterns for maintainable software.
• Work with relational databases and data persistence technologies.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
