Job summary

Commerce is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own cloud infrastructure and production systems for AI operations. You will manage GCP services, IaC, and secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.

You will collaborate with Data Solutions and Security teams to maintain observability and prudent security practices while enabling rapid AI tool development. Hybrid work is available with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure engineering with production ownership.
• Deep Linux systems administration experience (Debian, Ubuntu) at scale.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Build, IAM, VPC).
• Infrastructure as code as a core discipline (Terraform, Puppet).
• Experience designing and maintaining non-trivial CI/CD delivery pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
• Hands-on experience with edge infrastructure (DNS, load balancing, CDN).
• Distributed monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Proficient in Python, Bash, and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform and Puppet.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, CircleCI.
• Design and maintain edge-to-origin traffic stack: DNS, load balancing, CDN, WAF, edge compute.
• Operate and tune container orchestration for AI workloads and cost efficiency.
• Implement production observability: logging, metrics dashboards, tracing, SLO/SLI, alerting.
