Job summary

Applied Systems is seeking a Sr. AI Automation Engineer for a remote role on the IT AI Automation team. The position focuses on hardening, deploying, running, and scaling AI across the business using a governed GCP platform, with CI/CD, secrets management, and robust monitoring.

You will partner with business units to move proofs of concept to production, develop AI integrations, and ensure security and reliability of deployed apps while collaborating across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production software or data/automation applications.
• Strong Python skills and solid SQL experience.
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably with GCP, including deploying and operating services.
• Knowledge of authentication/identity, secrets management, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy micro-apps with the business and move proofs of concept to production.
• Design, build, and publish reusable Claude skills and agents.
• Integrate AI into Salesforce/Slack/NetSuite and various SQL data sources.
• Harden applications for production with authentication, secrets mgmt, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Operate apps on a governed GCP platform, respond to issues, and support business dependencies.
• Automate secure software maintenance to keep libraries patched and secure.
