Job summary

Meta seeks a Hardware Systems Engineer to support the NPI of next-generation AI and HPC infrastructure for large-scale data centers. You will validate AI server platforms and accelerators, drive bring-up and testing, and work across silicon, firmware, software, and networking teams.

You will develop test specs, root-cause complex failures, and help define deployment readiness standards for production AI hardware systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in hardware systems engineering and silicon/firmware validation.
• Experience with AI servers, GPUs, TPUs or AI accelerators.
• Proven ability to develop test specifications and debug methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe, NVLink, DDR5, and HBMs used in AI/HPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system validation strategies for AI and HPC hardware platforms.
• Drive hands-on bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI server systems and components such as PCIe, NVLink, DRAM, and high-speed networking fabrics.
• Develop and maintain test specifications, validation procedures, and debug guides tailored to AI infrastructure NPI programs.
• Investigate and root-cause complex system failures across silicon, firmware, software, and hardware layers with cross-functional teams.
• Triage and track hardware and firmware defects through resolution while progressing NPI milestones.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and drive improvements to test methodologies and tooling.
• Partner with AI platform and capacity engineering teams for acceptance criteria and deployment readiness.
• Guide data collection, analysis, and reporting to surface hardware quality trends for go/no-go decisions.
• Communicate validation status, risk assessments, and findings to internal teams and external vendors.
• Collaborate with firmware and software teams to define hardware-software interface requirements for telemetry and remote management.
