Job summary

Meta seeks a Hardware Systems Engineer to drive end-to-end validation of AI and HPC hardware for large-scale data centers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent
• 8+ years in hardware systems engineering or related AI server validation
• Experience with ASIC bring-up, board debugging, firmware validation, or large-scale data center validation
• Experience developing test specifications and validation procedures
• Experience with PCIe, NVLink, DDR5, or HBM in AI/HPC context
• Experience leading root-cause analysis across hardware/firmware/software
• Experience analyzing telemetry/fleet health data for improvements
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system validation strategies for AI/HPC hardware in data center environments
• Drive bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI server systems and components like PCIe and high-speed fabrics
• Develop and maintain test specs, validation procedures, and debug guides for NPI programs
• Investigate root causes spanning silicon to software with cross-functional teams
• Triage hardware/firmware defects and track progress against milestones
• Identify gaps in test coverage and drive tooling/automation improvements
• Collaborate to define acceptance criteria and deployment readiness standards
• Guide data collection and analysis to surface hardware quality trends
• Communicate validation status and risks to internal teams and vendors
• Collaborate on hardware-software interface requirements for telemetry and remote management
