Job summary

Meta is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to support the NPI of next-generation AI and HPC infrastructure for large-scale data centers. You will collaborate across hardware design, firmware, software, and capacity teams to validate AI hardware from bring-up to production readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional validation, telemetry, and deployment readiness in data-center environments with a focus on PCIe, NVLink, and memory subsystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent
• 6+ years in hardware systems engineering or AI server validation
• Experience in ASIC bring-up, board-level debug, firmware validation, or large-scale data center validation
• Experience developing test specifications, validation procedures, and debug methodologies
• Experience leading root-cause analysis across hardware, firmware, and software
• Experience with PCIe, NVLink, DDR5, or HBM in AI/HPC validation

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end validation for AI and HPC hardware platforms in data centers
• Bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI server systems and components (PCIe, NVLink, DRAM, networking)
• Develop and maintain test specs, validation procedures, and debug guides for AI NPI
• Root-cause analysis across silicon, firmware, software, and hardware with cross-functional teams
• Triage defects and track resolution to meet NPI milestones
• Improve test coverage and tooling across the NPI lifecycle
• Define acceptance criteria and deployment readiness with AI platform teams
• Guide data collection and reporting to surface hardware quality trends
• Communicate validation status and findings to teams and vendors
• Collaborate to define hardware-software telemetry interfaces
