Job summary

Meta is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to support the NPI of next-generation AI and HPC infrastructure for large-scale data centers.

You will work at the intersection of AI silicon, server systems, and data center operations, partnering with hardware design, firmware, software, networking, and capacity engineering teams to validate and scale cutting-edge AI hardware systems from early bring-up through production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; degree completed prior to joining Meta.
• 2+ years in hardware systems engineering, silicon validation, firmware validation, or system bring-up for AI servers/GPUs/AI accelerators.

Responsibilities

• Drive system validation strategies for AI and HPC hardware platforms in data centers.
• Hands-on bring-up, characterization, and validation of AI server systems and components (PCIe, NVLink, DRAM, networking).
• Develop and maintain test specs, validation procedures, and debug guides for AI infrastructure NPIs.
• Root-cause analysis of system failures across hardware, firmware and software stacks with cross-functional teams.
• Triage and track hardware/firmware defects through NPI milestones.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and improve methodologies, tooling, and automation.
• Define acceptance criteria and deployment readiness with AI platform and capacity teams.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to surface hardware quality trends.
• Communicate validation status and findings to internal teams and external vendors.
• Collaborate on hardware-software interfaces for telemetry, diagnostics, and remote management.
