Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer, AI Governance, to lead the AI Governance pod in designing and delivering AI-native software platforms for internal use. The role emphasizes building and running the AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, and AI FinOps tooling, while guiding policy‑to‑software translation with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum ten (10) years of software engineering experience, with three (3) years hands‑on building LLM and agent‑based production systems.
• No relocation offered; reside within 50 miles of a US Eaton location.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and engineering practices for the pod as a hands‑on IC, contributing production code each sprint.
• Design, build, and run AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, AI FinOps, and Policy‑as‑Code capabilities.
• Engineer observability, monitoring, compliance, and alerting across Eaton's AI estate.
• Lead architecture for complex, integrated systems and defend non‑functional requirements.
• Mentor three engineers and collaborate with Cyber, Legal, Privacy, and Responsible AI teams.
