Job summary

Eaton’s AI Governance Office seeks a Senior Technical Specialist to lead the technical direction of the AI‑Native Software Engineering pod. This hands‑on IC designs, builds, and runs platforms behind Eaton's AI Governance program, including the AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, and AI FinOps tooling.

The Pod Lead mentors three engineers, sets engineering standards, and partners with Cyber, Legal, Privacy, and Responsible AI & Oversight to translate policy into working software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Ten years of software engineering with three years hands-on building LLM/agent production systems.
• No relocation; must reside within 50 miles of US Eaton location.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Master's degree in CS, ML, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and engineering practices for the pod as a hands-on IC.
• Design, build, and run the AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, and Policy‑as‑Code capabilities.
• Engineer observability, monitoring, compliance, and alerting across Eaton's AI estate.
