Job summary

Principal Financial Group is seeking a Senior AI Governance Analyst to join the ERAI Governance program within Enterprise Data & Analytics. You will lead the operationalization, management, and maturation of the AI risk assessment process to ensure responsible AI use across the organization.

You will collaborate with Risk, Privacy, Compliance, IT, and business teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable governance practices and reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in risk management, data governance, privacy, compliance, or related disciplines, with 3+ years in AI governance or AI oversight.
• Experience leading transformational change initiatives and driving stakeholder adoption.
• Excellent communication skills to present to executives and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• AI Risk Assessment Process: Co-lead the design of the AI use case risk assessment process and mature assessment methodologies.
• Operating Model Design & Maturity: Oversee quality, accuracy, and timeliness of assessment activities and streamline processes.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with IT, Risk, Privacy, Compliance, AI Enablement, Technology, Data Governance and business teams.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Develop dashboards and insights on risk exposure and governance outcomes for senior leaders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as trusted advisor on AI risks and governance; host office hours and training.
• Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor junior analysts and foster a collaborative culture.
• Training and Enablement: Create training materials and guidance for enterprise-wide adoption.
• Policy and Compliance Management: Manage the Principal AI Policy and Standards and measure maturity.
• Security: Follow all security policies to protect data confidentiality and integrity.
