Job summary

KLA in the United States (Ann Arbor, MI) is seeking an experienced leader to own AI governance across the enterprise, ensuring responsible AI adoption and governance across platforms, models and automation.

The role emphasizes risk management, policy enforcement, and executive visibility, with a focus on aligning AI initiatives with legal, security, privacy and regulatory expectations while driving cross-functional collaboration and strategic transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive IT, governance, risk, compliance, security, data, or AI program leadership experience.
• Five (5) years leading cross-functional governance, compliance, risk management, technology oversight, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, machine learning, agentic AI, AI platforms, AI lifecycle management, model governance, data governance, privacy, and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and operating KLA’s AI governance framework across all approved AI platforms, models, agents, and automation capabilities
• Focusing on responsible AI adoption, policy enforcement, risk management, compliance, platform guardrails, AI inventory, approval workflows, and executive visibility
• Ensuring AI is deployed safely, transparently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business, legal, security, privacy, and regulatory expectations
• Developing policies, standards, intake processes, risk frameworks, approval models, executive dashboards, and governance operating models
