Alcoa seeks an AI Governance Lead to ensure responsible, ethical, and secure deployment of AI across the enterprise. You will work at the intersection of technology, risk, compliance, privacy and business strategy to mature governance capabilities globally.

This role leads policy development, convenes the AI Steering Committee, and collaborates with Legal, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Operations to drive transparent, risk-aware AI adoption with measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (CS/IT/Data Science).
• Experience in AI governance, risk management, or privacy/compliance.
• Strong understanding of AI tech and governance concepts.
• Proven cross-functional leadership and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve AI governance framework and policies.
• Serve on AI Steering Committee and shape enterprise AI strategy.
• Develop AI intake, inventory, and risk management processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy, and others.
• Promote ethical AI use through training and stakeholder engagement.
• Establish governance metrics and executive reporting.
• Monitor AI trends and guide roadmap directions.
