Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for AI Gateway. You will embed with customer teams, write production code, design low-latency topologies, and build plugins to push secure AI workloads to production. You’ll bridge customer environments with core engineering, contributing code back to the AI Gateway engine.

You’ll lead with hands-on development, architecture reviews, and zero-trust deployments, partnering across teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years writing production code (Python, Go, TypeScript/C++, API gateways).
• Hands-on with LLM orchestration, prompt security, token optimization, model routing, and vector DBs.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade code to integrate AI Gateway with microservices and multi-cloud edge topologies.
• Build custom middleware/plugins for identity-aware policies and telemetry pipelines.
• Develop deployment modules (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes) and SDK wrappers.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency traffic paths across platforms.
• Lead ADRs with customer engineers and CISOs for zero-trust deployments.
