Job summary

Salesforce Trust Platform is seeking an experienced software engineer to help build secure, scalable AI-enabled backend services. You will contribute to high-quality Java code and work on systems that integrate AI agents into human workflows.

This role emphasizes designing robust prompts, applying observability, and maintaining a monorepo with Bazel or Maven, Jenkins, Docker, and AWS services. You’ll collaborate with product teams to advance AI-driven security and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Genuine AI-first approach to engineering and rapid learning.
• Experience using AI tools in active development workflows.
• Ability to design, iterate on, and test prompts for structured LLM outputs.
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs with AWS basics (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Experience with Bazel or Maven and monorepo work.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins and Docker; container operations.
• TypeScript (Node) and/or Python service development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-quality, production-grade software with AI as a core part of development.
• Design and orchestrate complex systems where AI agents integrate with human workflows.
• Architect and maintain backend services integrating LLMs via external APIs with observability.
• Critically evaluate code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
• Develop test automation and quality tooling, including unit/CI test generation and flaky test awareness.
