BMC Software is seeking a Principal AI-First Product Manager to lead the AMI Platform’s shared AI capabilities. You will define strategy for agentic and AI-driven features across mainframe operations, data, and security, turning emerging capabilities into trusted, enterprise-grade products.

This senior IC role requires translating customer problems and AI tech into differentiated platform bets, governance, and measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Proven strategy ownership for multi-team or multi-product platforms.
• Experience guiding AI, generative AI, or agentic capabilities in Enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, and tool orchestration.
• Understanding data quality, permissions, telemetry for AI outcomes.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and roadmap linking investments to outcomes.
• Lead discovery with mainframe stakeholders; convert insights to bets.
• Shape AI-native experiences, agents, orchestration, and grounding.
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, security, and GTM teams for scale.
• Define success metrics across adoption, trust, cost, and impact.
• Establish governance, RBAC, auditability, and safety controls.
• Drive 0-to-1 MVPs with partners and evidence-based decisions.
• Balance platform commonality with domain-specific needs.
