Job summary

ClearJet in Austin is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build the system that moves freight—from database to operator UI. This AI-first role values judgement and verification, not just typing. You’ll own features end to end: API, data model, UI, tests, deploy, and operation.

You’ll work with Python/Django and DRF on Postgres, a TypeScript/Next.js frontend, Docker, Terraform, GitLab CI, and carrier API integrations. You must be a strong communicator and build reliable, observable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web applications.
• Strong Python, Django and DRF experience.
• Proficient in TypeScript, Next.js and Postgres.
• Experience deploying with Docker and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end: API, data model, UI, tests, release.
• Build Django/DRF services on Postgres with safe migrations.
• Develop front-end interfaces in TypeScript/Next.js.
• Integrate carrier, airline, and tracking APIs with robust failure modes.
• Apply AI-first workflows and maintain verifiable code quality.
• Monitor, instrument, and debug production systems.
