Chime is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build Jade, an AI-powered financial assistant. You’ll design agent capabilities and conversation experiences, and develop eval frameworks, observability, and guardrail systems for reliability and safety across millions of members.

As a senior engineer, you’ll collaborate across teams to build scalable backend services, model routing, and dashboards, while mentoring others and maintaining high code quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development in production environments.
• Proficiency with AI tooling and AI-native development.
• Proficiency with Python and modern frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis; scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale new capabilities for Jade.
• Develop agent architectures, prompt strategies, and orchestration patterns.
• Build eval frameworks, observability, and guardrail systems.
• Partner cross-functionally to solve member pain points with secure, scalable solutions.
• Improve system reliability through performance tuning and architectural enhancements.
• Mentor and review code to uphold high standards.
