Job summary

AMD is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the AI and HPC Center of Excellence in Austin, TX. This hands-on role partners with customers to run AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs and Pensando NICs, and to prepare technical documentation. You will present findings, train customers, and contribute to POC programs.

Travel is expected domestically and internationally, roughly 10–20% of the time. Ideal candidates have AI experience with training and inference, strong English communication,

• Experience with training and inference workloads in AI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to present complex technical content to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Enable customers to run AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs and other AMD hardware.
• Build and maintain deep technical relations with customer engineers and leaders.
• Execute AI inference and training workloads; generate performance insights and comparisons.
• Run workloads using common frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and reference benchmarks (MLperf, HuggingFace).
• Create internal and external documentation and training materials; support field deployments.
