Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Application Engineer for its AI and HPC Center of Excellence. The role combines hands-on performance tuning of training and inference workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs with customer-engagement, presentations, and joint development with partners.

You will run ML workloads with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and related frameworks, document results, and help customers optimize deployments on AMD hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience training and inference workloads on GPUs.
• Proficiency with common AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
• Ability to write technical docs and present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support customers and partners to run AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs.
• Conduct performance investigations and document AI performance across workloads.
• Create internal/external guides, whitepapers, and training collateral.
• Engage with multiple AMD teams to relay field requirements and testing feedback.
• Assist in pricing discussions with the bid desk and build POCs for customers.
