Amentum is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Linthicum, MD to advance AI/ET initiatives by building LLM orchestration frameworks, integrating static analyzers, RAG systems, and automated testing pipelines. The role emphasizes data preprocessing and database design for RAG architectures.

Security clearance TS/SCI Poly is required; the candidate will collaborate with systems engineers and bring strong Python, AI/ML, and data engineering skills to enhance vulnerability identification and mitigation

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong Python and data engineering skills with AI/ML focus.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, RAG systems and static analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LLM orchestration frameworks for AI tooling.
• Develop data preprocessing pipelines for LLM consumption and vectorization.
• Design and implement databases to support RAG architectures and audit trails.

Education

Doctoral degree + 4 years relevant experience

Master's degree + 6 years relevant experience

Bachelor's degree + 8 years relevant experience

Associate's degree + 10 years relevant experience
