Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc is seeking an AI Engineer to design and evaluate AI/ML-enabled applications and workflows in a federal environment. This onsite role in Columbia, MD requires active clearance eligibility to support LLM-based development across RAG, agentic systems, and orchestration patterns.

Responsibilities include building and assessing AI/ML-enabled workflows with emphasis on LLM-based applications, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic systems.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active clearance eligibility.
• Must have TS/SCI clearance with an active polygraph.
• Current CI poly within the last seven years.
• 18 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience designing, building, integrating, or evaluating AI/ML-enabled applications or software tools.
• Familiarity with LLM-based applications, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic systems, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Knowledge of agentic or orchestration frameworks and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate AI/ML-enabled application workflows.
• Develop and assess LLM-based applications, RAG, and agentic systems.
• Evaluate and advance orchestration patterns for AI workflows.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers and government stakeholders.
