Vantor is recruiting for a senior AI/ML engineer to build and maintain AI-enabled applications, focusing on agent-based workflows, LLM integration, and RAG pipelines. The role involves designing architectures, API development, and end-to-end production readiness for enterprise deployments.

The candidate will process data, refine Postgres schemas, and optimize performance while collaborating across teams. On-site work in the DC metro area is required and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Senior Labor Category: 8+ years with a Bachelor’s; 7 years with a Master’s; 6 years with a Doctorate.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Willingness to work onsite full time.
• US citizenship required.
• Proficiency in Python and common data/AI libraries.
• Experience developing AI/ML apps with LLM integration and RAG workflows.
• Experience with agent-based programming concepts, AI frameworks, and tool-based LLM apps.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, transformers, data processing, and model integration patterns.
• Experience designing REST APIs for data retrieval/processing.
• Familiarity with production-ready app development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI/ML-enabled applications focusing on agent-based workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Design and support agent-based architectures including orchestration and tool integration.
• Develop REST APIs, especially Python-based services, to support data retrieval and workflows.
• Support full-stack development of production-ready AI apps and enterprise deployment.
• Process, transform, and organize structured/unstructured data for AI/ML workflows.
• Refine Postgres schemas for data organization and performance.
• Optimize AI-enabled apps for reliability and maintainability.
