Qualifications

• Active IRS MBI clearance required.
• 7+ years of professional AI engineering experience.
• Experience supporting complex AI/ML initiatives and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and AWS cloud services.
• Strong proficiency in Python AI application development.
• Deep understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Experience with advanced prompt engineering techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience developing, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management and AWS GovCloud.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing AI development standards and model evaluation frameworks.
• Strong project management and technical delivery leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of prompt engineering strategies.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Develop and deploy AI applications using Python, Azure OpenAI, and AWS cloud services.
• Architect and operationalize responsible AI systems, including generative AI applications and RLHF instruction models.
• Build, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models using Python, Java, and open-source frameworks.
• Apply advanced natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques to complex business challenges.
• Implement AI guardrails, performance benchmarks, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Establish reproducible experiment tracking, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code to support scalable AI deployments.
• Manage AI project delivery and provide technical implementation leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems.
• Partner with leadership and stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and develop strategic roadmaps.
• Conduct peer code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
• Translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Support the modernization of IRS legacy tax processing systems through advanced AI technologies.
